微軟這禮拜正式推出 Windows 7 RC（Release Candidate，也是正式版本進前的最後一个試用版），並且開放逐家掠落來試用，相信嘛已經有一寡冒險家己經灌來咧用。有一寡朋友誠好奇，想欲知影 Windows 7 RC 的速度佮這馬的 Vista 比較的結果是按怎。雖然看起來 Windows 7 RC 開機的速度比 Vista 緊真濟，毋過真不幸，根據 PC World 這篇報導看來，Windows 7 RC 實際執行應用軟體的速度並無比 Vista 緊偌濟。
PC World 共 Windows 7 RC 灌佇 3 台電腦頂懸（2 台桌頂電腦：HP Pavillion a6710t 佮 Maingear M4A79T Deluxe，1 台筆電：Dell Studio XPS 16），用 WorldBench 6 分別佇 Windows 7 RC 佮 Vista Ultimate SP 1 試驗（攏採用 32 位元系統版本），結果 Windows 7 RC 的速度干焦比 Vista 緊 5% 以內爾爾。結果是：

WorldBench 6 包括使用 10 種定定用著的指標軟體，包括 Microsoft Office、Firefox 佮 Photoshop 等。經過 PC World 試驗的結果攏無差介濟，除了 Nero 7 Ultra 燒片軟體有差到 12%~26% 的速度增加。PC World 測試中心主任 Jeff Kuta 認為可能的原因是 Windows 7 重寫過的硬碟驅動程式，因為燒死豬仔 (CD) 需要大量的硬碟資料讀/寫。

另外，Windows 7 RC 佇 Autodesk 3ds max 8.0 SP3 的表現，比起 Windows Vista Ultimate 嘛有 7% 的提升。
